OpenSQLCamp rocked! --DukeLeto

I'll second that. --notbenh

OpenSQLcamp 2009 in Portland was the first that I've attended. It was a wonderful experience for learning, networking and getting things done. I look forward to the next openSQLcamp. --JAdP 23:40, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

I'm glad I was able to attend. It was a great opportunity to see what developments are taking place in the open source database world. --NickAubert

Congrats, this was a good event. Thanks to the organizers and participants. I liked: diverse/fun/skilled attendees attracted by the event, few concurrent sessions, 15 minute breaks between sessions, food, hack time, wiki notes, recordings. I disliked: noise level from having sessions without walls between them, small rooms limited attendance, and lack of beverages much of the time outside of meals. Content wise, I wish we'd had more sessions for peer discussions rather than formal presentations, and that we'd had more discussions on better applying technologies we already had rather than just covering new stuff -- I realize that this is an issue with the attendees suggesting talks and appreciate the irony of me saying this as the presenter of the slide-heavy "Comparing Non-Relational Databases" talk. Anyway, the event went well. @igalko

A great place to come and meet. Even though it took me 17 hours each way, this was a good way to spend a weekend. @fschupp / BlackRay Data Engine
